Ritchie O. Rosso, Jr., MD, is more than your typical dermatologist. He is one of only two physicians in the greater Odessa, Texas, area who is specially trained to diagnose skin cancer and perform Mohs surgery, the highest standard of skin cancer treatment. Dr. Rosso also specializes in cosmetic dermatology, including laser skin resurfacing, dermal fillers, and other highly specific skin care procedures.

Originally from Virginia, Dr. Rosso received his medical degree with distinction from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Virginia. He went on to complete a clinical research fellowship at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, followed by an internship in internal medicine at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital in New York City.

Next, he completed his residency at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine and Jackson Memorial Hospital where he was awarded the best overall resident in dermatologic surgery. His research has also appeared in several medical journals and publications.

When not helping patients manage skin concerns or practicing surgical and cosmetic dermatology, Dr. Rosso enjoys golf, soccer, surfing, cooking, and volunteering in his community.
