Kathy has been practicing dermatology for the past 20 years.
Kathy is a Certified Physician Assistant. She earned her undergraduate degree from Saint Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 1996. She received her graduate training in physician assistant studies from the Weill Medical College of Cornell University at the New York Presbyterian Hospital in 2000. She also had the opportunity to do an elective dermatology rotation at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Kathy is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is licensed by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice and is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
As a physician assistant she has received specialized training in dermatology. Kathy is licensed and qualified to perform comprehensive dermatologic examinations, diagnose, treat, and prescribe appropriate medical therapy. She is skilled in performing various procedures that include shave biopsies, punch biopsies, surgical excisions and cryotherapy.
