Kara Brooks
MD
Dr. Brooks is a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology and treats all ages. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, having been nominated by her peers for excellence in physicianship, leadership, professionalism, scholastic achievement, and service.
Dr. Brooks grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii, then earned her Bachelor of Arts in Cellular Neuroscience at Colgate University in upstate New York. She returned for medical school at the University of Hawaii. She then completed her training at the University of North Carolina, doing an internship in Internal Medicine, and Residency in Dermatology. Dr. Brooks worked in private practice in Raleigh for four years before joining Pinnacle Dermatology. She is excited to continue to offer quality medical care to her patients. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two kids.
