Jalal H. Alghabra, MS, PA-C, joined Virginia Dermatology and Skin Surgery Center (which is now a part of Pinnacle Dermatology) in November of 2017. He has practiced dermatology for over 15 years in Michigan and North Carolina. In 2003, Jalal graduated from Western Michigan University with a Master’s Degree in Medicine as a Physician Assistant. His bachelor’s degree is also from Western Michigan University with a Biomedical Science major and Chemistry minor.

He performs surgical excisions, cryo, electrodesiccation, along with many other procedures. He is certified in the operation of laser, botox and fillers.

He was the President of the Michigan Dermatology Physician Assistants Association for the year 2013 and 2014. In 2014, Jalal won the prestigious Physician Assistant of the Year Award from the Michigan Dermatology of Physician Assistants Association.

Jalal has also lectured about relevant skin diseases in Dermatology at Eastern Michigan University.

His prior experience includes five years of pharmacy experience and he led research studies in a toxicology laboratory. In 2004, Jalal obtained his certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
